I Love You, October: A Time for Change, Gratitude, and New Beginnings

Ah, October, you're like a stage backdrop with your leaves turning golden, red, and brown—a perfect setting for the next act of my life!

Ah, October, you’re like a stage backdrop with your leaves turning golden, red, and brown—a perfect setting for the next act of my life!

And what a scene it is, with the sun still spotlighting us, albeit through a crispier air that nudges us towards chic winter coats, trendy boots, and yes, the glamorous touch of gloves and sunglasses to embrace the season change fully.

This month isn’t just about the wardrobe swap; it’s my birthday month, darling! I’m in my usual sparkle mode—super healthy, glowing, and turning a year wiser, better, and healthier.

Who doesn’t want to live forever, right? With another blessed year under my belt, I feel my spirit tuning up in gratitude, thankful for precious moments with my loved ones, and yes, my stunning and fit mom! What a blessing!

October’s been a whirlwind. I toured the UK with the sensational “Now that’s what I call a Musical,” alongside the most talented and fun cast you could imagine.

It was a total blast! And let me tell you, I’ve decided to chuck out the pre-show jitters. Why fret when I can be grateful for being able to perform, for being wanted, and for being asked too! I’ve learned—finally—that appreciation is bigger than fear. And yes, it worked wonders!

Being fully grown and embracing myself, just as I am, has never felt so right. Self-acceptance? It’s kind, it’s liberating, and oh, it’s showbiz, kid!

And then there’s the profound side of October—Black History Month. I began documenting my own history, choosing to turn past negatives into lessons, to shape a future filled with good vibes and better choices.

Losing young, vibrant souls like Liam Payne just days before my birthday was a stark reminder of life’s fragility. It shook us all—our mentor Simon was devastated, and all I could do was offer prayers for those grappling with grief, praying for healing and peace to touch their hearts deeply.

October, with its transitions, reminds us to appreciate every moment. From the joy of new life to the solemn memory of precious lives lost, it’s a month that encapsulates the full spectrum of human experience.

As we vote in the pending election and influence global changes, let’s remember the weight of our responsibilities.

Reflecting on October gives us perspective as we gear up for what’s next. Back to life, back to the new season, and hey, a new me! Every day is a chance to restart or kickstart something fresh—in every area of life.

Growing older doesn’t mean growing stale; it means seasoning life with new ideas, more love, and an undying passion for being unapologetically you.

So, let’s make a pact to embrace the vibrant, unpredictable journey of life. Remember, you are more you than you have ever been. And to that, I say, Amen!
