April was “gloriously sunny and warm, what a treat!” and the perfect backdrop for my latest remix—my own hormones.
After bouncing between consultations, I fired up a fresh set-list of bio-identical and body-identical hormones. I used to think you pressed stop on HRT once the hot flush playlist cooled down. Wrong remix, baby!
“I started to get symptoms I didn’t even have during Perimenopause and Menopause, like the sudden heat flushes and sleeplessness… Turns out they were just hormone fluctuations affecting me.”
So I tweaked the dosage—progesterone every other night, oestrogen cream on alternating evenings, a shea boost every second day—and within a week the beat dropped:
“I have to say my sleep is delicious now, deep and soft and fulfilling… I just feel … Good, Calmly good, not excited jumping up and down good but that gentle breezy deep breath and sigh good…”
When you learn that balanced hormones can help fend off bone loss, heart disease and even some cancers, you stop waiting for symptoms and start demanding better baseline health. And get this:
“It is a dream to feel so healthy and well and happy in my own skin, to feel aroused and attracted, relaxed and fit. Iam now willing to stand in the soap box and encourage Women to take HRT!”
Too many sisters in Black and other ethnic communities still skip the consultation queue—sometimes out of mistrust, sometimes because no one’s singing their song.
That changes this June. I’m teaming up with two hormone-therapy experts—one specialising in black and ethnic women—and a backstage crew determined to make everything accessible, relatable and totally non-intimidating.
Consider it my new girl-group: information, guidance and a front-row pass to personalised prescriptions. Because, honey, “not one dose fits everyone.”
After just seven days on my custom regimen:
That’s an 80 percent upgrade on feeling merely “okay.” And who settles for a lukewarm single when you can drop a full-blown floor-filler?
I’m still wrestling with my lifelong love affair with giant nut-studded chocolate bars—“the biggest pig!”—but I’m curious whether stable hormones might soften those cravings too. Watch this space; if HRT can help me ditch the sugar hangover, you’ll hear my victory squeal from ten blocks away.
Next month, I’ll spill all the tea on our upcoming project, share how to book your own consultation and reveal resources designed especially for women who’ve been left off the hormone guest list. Until then, remember:
“Why settle for good, not too bad, or low when you can feel Fantastic!!!”
Grab that mic, find a doctor who knows your tune and let HRT turn your midlife into the ultimate comeback tour. If it can crank my life up to vintage-Sinitta sparkle, just imagine what it could do for you.

Here are 5 ways to Improve Your Walk After 50 💪🙌
1. Focus on Posture
Maintaining good posture is crucial as you age. Stand tall with your shoulders back, head aligned with your spine, and engage your core muscles. This will not only improve your walk but also reduce strain on your back and joints.
2. Strengthen Your Muscles
Incorporate strength training exercises into your routine to keep your leg and core muscles strong. Squats, leg raises, and calf raises can all help improve your walking efficiency and stability.
3. Stretch Regularly
Flexibility plays a key role in maintaining a healthy gait. Dedicate time to stretching exercises, especially for your legs and lower back, to enhance range of motion and prevent stiffness.
4. Wear Supportive Footwear
Choose shoes that offer proper support and cushioning. Avoid high heels or unsupportive flats, as they can cause discomfort and impact your walking style negatively. Opt for footwear that is designed for walking or athletic activities.
5. Practice Balance Exercises
Balance tends to decline with age, increasing the risk of falls. Incorporate balance exercises such as standing on one leg or using a balance board to enhance stability and coordination while walking.
