Until my partners death I divided my time between my house in France (48 kilometres from Toulouse, in the middle of nowhere) and my flat in London. As soon as I finish a job I would fly straight back. We have our own forest which is filled with mushrooms, some magic and some deadly! My late partner has two boys who are brilliant, I’m a very good cook and really enjoy friends coming. Now that I have a little cottage near the river in London, once I finish decorating the pans will be rattling again.
Being a jobbing Actor for 52 years, I came into showbiz by accident, having been at a very prestigious boarding school I was destined to become a barrister, but as luck would have it, being bored during a half term holiday I auditioned for Showboat in the West End, got the job and never looked back, I have yet to play a barrister! I fitted in drama school too, the main thing is to have good back up I have an agent who is terrific, she makes sure that all aspects of my life are covered.
